Pawsitively Perfect Petite Treats & Slow Feeder Gifts for your Pup 

Don’t forget your “fur” friends this holiday season. Bake your doggo something special to show them how much you care. It’s a great activity to get the kiddos involved too. Bruno, our Registered Dietitian Crystal MacGregor’s sweet baby Frenchie, was a very willing participant in this blog-making process! Using only 3 ingredients and a Perfect Petite, Crystal whipped up this recipe, from raw to ready, in less than 30 minutes. Your pup will love them just like Bruno does. Tummy loving pumpkin combined with fiber-rich oats and peanut butter which most dogs go nuts for! Just make sure the peanut butter you use does not contain xylitol which can be toxic to dogs.

Bruno’s Pawsitively Perfect Petite Treats 

Makes 24 treats  

1 cup oats 

1/3 cup 100% pure canned pumpkin  

1 Tbsp natural peanut butter  

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.  

  1. In a high-powered blender, blend oats until they become an oat flour consistency.  

  1. In a 4 Cup Prep Bowl combine oats, pumpkin, and peanut butter. Mix until batter is well blended. 

  1. Using a 4-in-1 Spice Spoon measure about one teaspoon of batter into each perfect petite mold. Then using the back of the spoon—kids can use their hands—smooth out batter in each mold.  

  1. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden and crisp. Let them cool to make it easier to pop them out. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

EPIC TIP: instead of pressing down the mixture, place another perfect petite on top. Use a rolling pin to roll along the top which presses each treat firmly. Remove top Petites and voila, pressed dog treats ready for baking.  

Each treat is about 20 calories, 0.5 g fat, 3 g carbohydrates, and 1 g protein. We love that these are made with wholesome real ingredients and that they are so simple to make, easy to woof down—Bruno would eat ‘em all if he could get his little paws on them! If using as training treats simply break them into smaller pieces.

If you have a puppy that gobbles up food too quickly, you may need a slow feeder. Your pup will love to eat intelligently – playing when you give them their food in a Perfect Petite, Muffin Maker, or spread their food out on a  1/4 Sheet Pan Liner. This is a great way to help them eat slower and prevents gas from gulping. And they are made of 100% food-safe silicone making them easy to clean. Bruno loves them as you can see!
